louba,
Thanks for the book recommendation, I've never heard of it, but what to check it out as I have certainly experienced the toll of hidden (or even not so hidden) stress on my body. If I ignore stress for too long, my body tends to get my attention through the use of sinus infections, bronchitis and in a pinch, an asthma attack. It's very effective! Big Grin

BTW, I am loving seeing your little thank you notes popping up around the forum. Hug two

Hello, AG,

“When we have been prevented from saying no, our bodies may end up saying it for us” Gabor Mate MD. When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress 2003.

One of the chapters is titled Self or Non – Self; Immune System Confused

This medical doctor practiced in the downtown eastside of Vancouver. He worked for the Portland Hotel Society as well as at Insite, the safe injection site. I also have his book In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts; Close Encounters With Addiction 2008. He has other books and articles. These are two of the most recent books I have read this week.

Attitude of gratitude re: thank you notes.
