The Clinician's View: Eating issues

I stumbled upon this article when I was doing a little research on overcoming appetite loss... I am currently working with a nutritionist in addition to my T, and this gave me some insight into what they, or at least the nutritionist, may be experiencing in working with a stubborn client like m.

Hi BI,

My T also recommended that I see a nutritionist, and I went to the person she recommended (who is also a registered dietitian - very important!) I have found the nutritionist very helpful, actually, and I was surprised by that. I figured it would be a few appointments on learning how to better plan for meals and learning how to balance what I eat. Instead, I'm going on my third month with the nutritionist, and while I'm learning a lot, I still have a lot to learn Roll Eyes

The nutritionist I see specializes in eating disorders (among other things) and has been incredibly helpful to me. My T does not do email at all, but the nutritionist does, so when food is freaking me out, I email her, which is great in bringing me back to earth. It helps that I like her (cause like with T, no connection = no work!)
