I think I'd be afraid to see a traditional psychoanalyst! I like the fact that I sit facing my T, in a comfy, overstuffed chair, and that we converse like two people.

I really enjoyed the book, myself, and would love to see other works of fiction that follow the patient/therapist dynamics! Can't wait to see what you think of it UV!
I just read this book a couple of weeks ago. I really enjoyed it too and found myself underlining a number of passages. I've read a few of Yalom's books now, and that was the first fiction book I've read by him. It helps feed a little of that desire to know what may be going on in a T's head (although of course what I really want to know is what's going on in MY T's head).
