1. "Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better." Grrr, STFU!

2. Hrm, I've been pretty thrifty since starting therapy, so nothing too recent. H isn't getting as many video games. I suppose I've passed on clothing that I wanted by making due with stuff that is getting too big (lost 25 lbs last year).

3. Ugh, this is hard. I like Robert Downey Jr. a lot. I have a lot of actors whose movies I'd like to watch, just because I like the actor. However, I really don't get around to it, so none of them would really qualify as a "favorite" actor.

4. All my "vacations" have been from my childhood and have both good and bad memories associated with them. H and I never go anywhere, except to visit family or camping. Too much money. So, I guess my favorite vacation will be our first real family vacation that H, Boo and I take whenever we can afford it. Big Grin

5. Phone session with T if mine falls through. Watching our friends' 7-year-old and 1-year-old Saturday morning while H and the dad have their church group (the mom is in a CPR class all day), watching my nephew Saturday afternoon, church Sunday morning, Easter choir practice Sunday afternoon. Outing with H and Boo to the park if the weather is nice. Wait, this was supposed to be a weekend? Dang it!!!
1. Trust me.

2. Therapy sessions. Still having them, just less often.

3. Changes constantly. Not really a loyal fan I guess. Except maybe Michael Landon & Melissa Gilbert. (Still love the "Little House on the Prairie" series.)

4. Have yet to experience one that was fabulous in every way. But taking my kids hiking in some national parks was good, except for the part when my 5-yr-old wandered from our group and we thought he was lost, hurt, or kidnapped... uh, regressing here, sorry!

5. Going back to visit my family of origin in my hometown, to see my little sister's new baby for the first time. Looking forward to seeing the baby. NOT looking forward to interacting with my parents while I'm there.
1. What saying are you tired of hearing?
"We need to figure out how we can make this happen". Mad My boss keeps saying this to us when other departments drop expectations on us at the last minute, requiring us to change around schedules we've already put in place. And it's been happening a LOT lately.

2. Have you given up anything recently due to budget constraints?
Going to the movie theater right when movies are released. Fortunately there is another theater that shows movies a short time after initial release for a lot less money. Plus it's in an old historic building, has an open floor plan, is decorated somewhat like a castle, and serves pizza and other food in addition to the traditional popcorn and candy. But the wait takes some getting used to. Especially because right now we really want to see Hop. Big Grin

3. Who is your favorite actor/actress?
That's a hard one...first ones that come to mind are Ed Harris and Meryl Streep. I loved the role Ed Harris played in The Abyss - his loyalty to and love for his wife, and how protective he was of his crew. And I loved the character played by Meryl Streep in Defending Your Life. Her spirit was so beautifully open and joyful and intelligent. My daughter is actually named after that character.

4. What has been your favorite vacation?
Um...I am what you might call "vacation challenged". I stress out on vacations that are supposed to be fun. Some of my worst memories are from "vacations". We've been planning to go to Disney World for several years now, and the closer it gets, the more I'm dreading it. I don't know why. Food for therapy I suppose.

5. Plans for the weekend?
Our girls are going to Grama's for the weekend. We are going car shopping and then over to a friend's for dinner and cards.

Thanks for the fun thread, LG! Happy Friday! Big Grin

Hey, I can do this! Fun thread, yaaaaay!

1. Don't dream your life, live your dreams
2. I have off from June 1st till September 20something and no money to go anywhere.
3. Scarlett Johansson because she is so pretty. And I like Nicolas Cage and Tom Hanks.
4. Canada a few years back. I never thought I could have such a different life just because I'm somewhere else. I was having SO MUCH fun. I cried for weeks after that because I was so sad I had to leave. I'm going back one day.
5. Homework. That's it. edit: I'm going shopping out of frustration.

2. Not really but I've started using cash (rather than putting it my card) for most of my spending and this seems to be making me spend less.

3. um not really sure I have one

4. Probably the 6 weeks I spent in Australia right after I graduated (can't believe that is 11 years ago)

5. Not much. Really should tidy up my house there just seems to be junk everywhere. I did get home to find my neighbour had cleared our shared back yard so that's one less thing I need to do.

1. What saying are you tired of hearing?

"This too shall pass" and "That's what she said" Funny side note about the 2nd one is that I really don't understand what it means, but my adolescent daughter thinks it is hilarious that her brother doesn't know what it means (supposedly something bad??) so I pretend that I know. Razzer

2. Have you given up anything recently due to budget constraints?

We gave up satellite because we were paying $100 a month and only watching one channel. Everything else is already cut to bare bones as it is.

3. Who is your favorite actor/actress?

Jessica Lange, Meg Ryan, Hilary Swank are a few off the top of my head. Actor, let's see Matthew McCon-a-hottie! Big Grin There are more, but those are the ones that come to mind.

4. What has been your favorite vacation?

Probably the beach with my family now. We hardly ever vacation as it is expensive and involved with some issues that we have that are outside the norm. Growing up vacations were an extension of the torture so I tend not to travel well even now.

5. Plans for the weekend?

Yard work, play date for my little one, clean up the house and hopefully get some sleep!
1. "Make no mistake" (seems to be a favorite presidential saying for the present and former President)

2. Not recently, however, I have made major cutbacks over the past six years in all ways due to some unfortunate life events.

3. I've never been one to have a favorite actor/actress.

4. Favorite vacation would have to be the one and only cruise I've been on.

5. Work Saturday, taking sis out to dinner for her birthday Saturday night, visit and spend night at a friend's place, and visit another friend on Sunday. Since Monday is my Sunday, out to lunch with yet another friend and T in the afternoon.
1. What saying are you tired of hearing?

With all due respect...

2. Have you given up anything recently due to budget constraints?

No. Eeker

3. Who is your favorite actor/actress?

Dustin Hoffman

4. What has been your favorite vacation?

My life has been one long series of holidays, so I suppose my life really...

5. Plans for the weekend?

Ummm. Dunno. Maybe go get up and get dressed in a minute, when I've finished on here Big Grin
