I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the little gang. I tried to get a range of characters and I wondered if there was a need for a character that represented a less conservative presence. I was thinking that a character--maybe a girl who was a little more rebellious or tomboyish might be good. Just curious what others thought.

Also, one of the character's is intended to be a little girl playing dress-up. I sometimes think she looks too adult-like. What do you think?

I like your little gang, it adds some humour and draws your attention.
I think the little people are cute and not conservative at all. If you wanted a conservative type would it be more seemly to have a serious face combed back hair and no smile.

The little girl with the long hair looks like a movie star. You could give her a dress that has folds along the floor, like her mothers dress would be too long on her and the sleeves with large folds.
Actually, I didn't think the little girl was playing dressup - I thought she was real, some kind of 60's movie star like Liz Taylor, or Mamie van Doren! How was I to know!!!

So I guess she does look a little grown-up, to answer your question!

Yes, the group does need more of an edge - kind of like the way kids are in South Park. In fact, the group's already like this, ie. when the caption's adult-sounding. So the kids do need a spot of

edginess
, but not in the one-dimensional, non-threatening Dennis the Menace sense. More in the so-called
quote:
wiser-than-their-years
sense of a Bart Simpson, a funny smart-ass, visually, so to speak.

Or maybe a character like Richie Rich, so cute in a tuxedo, but still a symbol of the oppressing upper class, still the first to go down come the Revolution....!!!!! (Sorry, been watching too many Catherine

She's havin' a ben!
Cookson movies lately, got carried away with the class system stuff...)

Anyway, it's almost like you can't lose, since the SPI's such a great idea in the first place.
Keep up the great work!
I think that the characters can be very representative for the population who clicks onto this site. So, I guess a rebellious, tomboyish or dressing-up kid will be nice to see. Smiler

Maybe boys who get dirty from their game/play, a girl with her pet or doll...

Also a bully one?? a quiet shy one?? an athletic girl? a very 'nice' boy??... etc, etc... Actually I think there is abundance of them. Wink

The comments are also very important too I guess... So fun. Smiler
one thing i notice is that most places leave out people/representations of those with special needs. Yet, there are whole branches of psychology (rehabilitation psych).... and parts of behavioral medicine.... dedicated to addressing our needs....

i would love to see some kidlets represented who have special needs of some sort....

Im not quite sure what.. and how... but would love to see that... im always one to think.. inclusive... INCLUSIVE please...

hahaahah.... YAY...

btw- I don't know if you're the one that left the link to this site on the yahoo group but whatever the case, it's awesome. I'm so impressed. I know some others have been checking it out as well. I plan to spread the word about it as well as soon as I get the energy to build the emails and stuff.

Nice to see you too.
