My T recommended a book for me to read. He said it reminded him of me....a little scary. It is called "The Misfit"....my "loving" father used to call me that. It is a story of Marliyn and the last analyst she had. Although, the analyst said he never "treated" her. It's a short, moving book. She was such a tortured soul. Hope some of you find it interesting or helpful.

i remember sitting on my mother's lap at a very young age, watching "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer". i remember her saying "you're my little Rudolph" and i remember feeling really special mostly because rudolph was so cute and was the center of the story. all these years later i wonder what was really behind those words.. did she really mean i was her little misfit? i'll have to read the book, thanks for passing it along, VH
